You Can't Win Them All...

It's been 10 years since the Yankees have been completely shut out in back to back games. You would think they would try and stretch that gap but some streaks are meant to be broken. Playing Seattle in the 2nd of 3 games, the Yankees looked helpless against them. Last night, June 29th, the Yankees lost to the Mariners 4-7 and just when it couldn't get any worse, the Yankees lose tonight, June 30th, with a1 score of 7-0. I don't know what's more embarrassing...losing 7-0 or losing to a team who is 13.5 back of Texas in the West? I think the latter is embarrassing. But where do we place the blame? Pitching? Hitting? Tonight, BOTH. Vasquez did ok but after a while, ok becomes one notch away from mediocre. Hitting was nonexistent and Felix Hernandez earned my respect tonight. He man-handled the Yankees.

But, here's the silver lining, tomorrow afternoon is a matinee game against Seattle and with CC on the mound, the pressure is on to avoid being swept by the worst team in the West.

In fairness to a great work, congratulations to the NY Mets for winning their game 6-5 against the Marlins. Keep up the winning!

XOXO,
Whitney
